Creating music from the age of nine, it was then that David Monroe had discovered his undeniable passion for music. Today, the young artist is recognised for his RnB, dancehall-inspired melodies, island boy profile, and musical storytelling.

David Monroe defines his sound as 'Calypso', a style of Afro-Caribbean music that originated in Trinidad and Tobago. The 21-year-old, however, has never been keen on shying away from merging together different sounds from across the board.

After the release of "Pina Colada", the Tottenham, North London-based singer-songwriter began working alongside the likes of Haile WSTRN and Geko on a remixed version the single. In 2017, David Monroe released his debut album titled "Calypso", which included the well-anticipated singles "Tsunami", "Gyaldem Sugar" and "Calypso". The singer, songwriter has just released a second project named "No Behaviour" headlining his latest single "Scrubs", as well as the re-release of his primal album with added bonus tracks and other collaborations including IQ, Omo Frenchie, Dun D, Vianni, and Disturbing London Records.

The forthcoming RnB artist, David Monroe’ prides on his new release ‘Scrubs’ along with an official music video this Summer 19.

Renditioning TLC’s popular ‘No Scrubs’ released in late 90s, David Monroe puts a new, UK twist on the song to reform the track and make it his own. Working with Innovate PR Agency, his aim is to make his version, 'Scrub' a UK hit. Personally collaborating with one of the UKs biggest RnB/HipHop artist, WSTRN'S Haile, impulses us to acknowledge the amount aspiration Monroe has as a young RnB artist. Having released 'Scrubs' as well as both of his albums on Spotify, Apple Music and YouTube without the help of a music label, you can understand that Monroes music output and artist persona is unstoppable and inspiring. He is self-made, energetic, hugely talented and most importantly ready to become an RnB sensation.
